About BBELT 2022
BBELT (Best and Brightest in ELT) is one of the main events in the English Language Teaching calendar in the Americas. The conference offers teachers of English an opportunity to learn about the latest trends and new ideas in English Language Teaching (ELT)Attendees can participate in academic sessions, presentations, workshops, attend the poster exhibition and demonstrations of some of the best teaching material available. It provides a space for exchange, dialogue, and reflection on ELT in the Americas, bringing together outstanding teaching specialists from the Americas, the UK and the rest of the world.
The 2022 edition of BBELT is an online conference which expands the offer of continuing professional development (CPD) and creates new opportunities for the ELT community in the Americas by connecting teachers in the region, empowering learners, and providing new skills through new ways of teaching.
This year’s conference theme, Connecting Teachers, Empowering Learners will be an opportunity for teachers and other ELT professionals to share experiences and good practice, and understand the importance of networking , trying out new ideas and extending knowledge. The conference will also be a space for reflection on how the role of the learner has changed and how teachers can empower students through English, and all skills required for the ever-changing new global context.
The British Council will host BBELT virtually in 2022 from 18 – 19 February 2022.
It is a great opportunity to meet teachers, teacher educators, material writers and publishers, academics, from both the private and public sectors, researchers, language centre coordinators, heads of educational institutions, ELT decision makers and all professionals involved in English Language Teaching.
