This bold and dynamic production shows a woman fighting for liberty and owning her goals. Since her beginnings as an orphan on misery, this heroin faces with fierce the obstacles, surviving poverty, injustice and discovering a betrayal before the final decision of following her heart. This acclaimed version of Brontë’s masterpiece played for the first time by Bristol Old Vic in 2014 during two nights. The director Sally Cookson offers now this famous production on National Theatre.
