The Newton Fund programme seeks to establish collaborations between partner countries for research focusing on scientific and technological innovation with the purpose of contributing to their social welfare and economic development.
This fund allows partner countries to address different global issues such as extreme weather conditions, urbanization, access to health care, food security and energy with the ultimate goal of satisfying the social and economic necessities of a growing population.
To tackle these issues, an integrated research with a focus on innovation that brings together communities from different backgrounds, sectors and countries for high level collaboration is much needed.
The Institutional Links programme is designed to promote links between researchers, enterprises and stakeholders from the science, technology and innovation ecosystem to create opportunities for long-term collaborations.
