Classes will be conducted via the Zoom video conferencing platform.
The student is responsible for downloading the app, installing and configuring it on the device they wish to use, which must meet the following minimum requirements:
Mac OS X with MacOS 10.6.8/(Snow Leopard) or later operating systems; Windows 10, Windows 8 or 8.1, Windows 7;
Broadband or wireless Internet connection (at least 3G or 4G/LTE for cellular devices);
Speakers and a microphone (integrated, via USB or Bluetooth connection, webcam or HD camera (integrated or USB).
For a better experience, a fast Internet connection via Wi-Fi or cable is recommended. The British Council is not responsible for any technical problems that could result in low-quality audio or video due to the student's slow internet connection or defective equipment.
The British Council is not responsible for supplying any kind of tools, hardware, software or internet access. The student must ensure that the equipment is configured and tested on the Zoom test page.
Workshops will be conducted on the dates indicated on the British Council's website for each country, including national holidays.
Any workshop can be re-scheduled provided no less than 72 (seventy-two) hours' notice is given prior to its published date. The student must notify the British Council in writing at AME_CustomerServiceOnline@britishcouncil.org if a session needs to be re-scheduled.
If a student has cancelled or missed one or more sessions without giving the proper prior notice of 72 (seventy two) hours, he/she will not be entitled to a refund or be permitted to re-schedule.
The British Council reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, or to re-schedule and/or cancel classes. For every class cancelled or re-scheduled, the British Council shall offer alternative dates within a 14 (fourteen) day period from the cancellation date, with the option to reimburse students who are unable or do not wish to attend the re-scheduled classes. Approved reimbursements will be processed over a period of 15 business days.

Once payment has been received and processed by the British Council, the student will receive an email with a link to the website where he/she can reserve the classes. For every transaction listed in the payments system as “Pending approval”, the student must contact the financial institution to ensure that the card issued by said bank has authorised and approved the transaction.
Students may acquire only 1 (one) 2-class workshop according to skill (Reading, Writing,Listening, Speaking) at a time, or buy all 4 skills at one top for a discounted price as stated in the shop.
Students may select any of the dates published on the website. It is recommended that the student attends both classes of each workshop in the same week, i.e., Reading 1 and Reading 2 in the same week.
The material for the workshop may be downloaded from the online store in PDF format once the purchase has been processed and payment received. This material is for the student's personal use and subject to copyright; therefore it may not be shared, modified or distributed in any format or by any means. The British Council reserves the right to make modifications to the material without prior notice.
