By the end of this course you will

Levels A1–A2 (Beginner)

Level A1

  • understand and use everyday expressions and simple phrases
  • introduce yourself and others
  • ask and answer questions about where you live, things you have and people you know
  • hold a simple conversation with someone who talks slowly and clearly.

Level A2

  • understand expressions about people, family, hobbies, places of interest and work
  • communicate simple, everyday tasks and familiar or routine matters
  • describe your home and work environment
  • discuss events that happened in the past.

Levels B1–B2 (Intermediate)

Level B1

  • read and understand texts about familiar topics as well as more complex genres
  • cope with most everyday situations when visiting an English-speaking country
  • write simple, coherent texts about topics that you are familiar with or interested in
  • describe past experiences and events as well as wishes and aspirations
  • justify your opinions and explain future plans.

Level B2

  • understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics
  • interact with greater fluency and spontaneity
  • write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects, and explain your point of view with a higher level of precision.

Levels C1–C2 (Advanced)

Level C1

  • understand demanding complex texts and recognise implicit meaning
  • express yourself fluently and spontaneously with little hesitation or need to search for precise phrases
  • use language flexibly to discuss unfamiliar, complex and abstract topics.

 Level C2

  • understand with ease practically everything you hear or read
  • summarise information and arguments, and present them coherently and concisely 
  • express yourself spontaneously, fluently and precisely, differentiating more subtle shades of meaning in all situations.
