The Selector Training Sessions Mexico took place last February. On its first edition in the country, six students who were passionate about music and radio were selected to participate in the project, which was realised in collaboration with SAE Institute Mexico and Ibero 90.9 FM, the radio station that boradcasts The Selector in Mexico.

Aline, Pilar, David, Josélo, Arturo and Fernando had the chance to experience in the flesh what does it take to create a radio programme hand in hand with their mentors: Tabitha Thorlu –Bangura (NTS Radio), John Cranmer (Salford University Manchester) and Uriel Waizel (Ibero 90.9).

In only for days, the students participated in turns in live sessions at Ibero 90.9, they recorded a live session with the British artist Johnny Lloyd and they learned directly from The Selector team in Mexico about how to structure their scripts, playlists and interviews in order to develop basic skills to create their own radio programme.
