What is Learning Sectors?
Learning Sectors is a Formula 1® inspired programme for schools around the world, delivered by the British Council. In Mexico, the programme is being delivered in Hidalgo state to inspire young people to explore STEM - science, technology, engineering and mathematics, while developing communication skills, teamwork and other skills for the future.
Through project-based learning, students will work collaboratively to develop a project and present their ideas and solutions in their communities. The programme connects STEM learning with real-world challenges and experiences inspired by Formula 1®.
STEM, communication and real-world learning
Technology and innovation are at the heart of Formula 1®. Learning Sectors uses this context to help students apply STEM knowledge, develop solutions and communicate their ideas with confidence.
In Hidalgo, the programme is aimed at upper-secondary of public schools belonging to COBAEH, CECyTEH, CONALEP or Bachillerato del Estado de Hidalgo (BEH). Teams consist of four students and one teacher, who will support the team throughout the programme.
